Political Analyst and Chief Executive Officer of PoliTact, Arif Ansar, visited the Center for Research and Security Studies (CRSS) on Wednesday, and met with CRSS Executive Director Imtiaz Gul and the teams of Afghan Studies Center and Beyond Boundaries. Mr. Ansar heads PoliTact, a Islamabad-based think tank that develops geopolitical risk assessments, situational awareness, and strategic forecasts by discerning, synthesizing and interpreting data regarding political, economic, and security developments affecting the current global balance of power.

Mr. Arif Ansar showed keen interest in Afghan Studies Center – an initiative by CRSS – to promote academic, cultural and sports exchanges between the people of Pakistan and Afghanistan. Both Executive Directors discussed the areas of mutual cooperation.

CRSS and PoliTact both agreed that think tanks and other such research mediators are more influential in policy-making and can have a positive impact on the social fabric of the society, thus collaboration of the two can maximize the impact and dissemination of research and analysis.

CRSS is focused on youth and women programming, security research, rights-based education, and building a narrative for tolerance, equality and diversity. For over a decades, CRSS has brought credible research, capacity building programming, and sustainable impact to every single region in Pakistan, as well as peace-building initiatives such as Beyond Boundaries and Afghan Studies Center.
