An infographic, published by the Jinnah Institute in Islamabad, has claimed that Afghanistan’s drug problem has increased by 43%, which finances 60% of Taliban’s operations. The infographic also claimed that Afghan national security’s attrition rate stands at a mammoth 35%, despite $43 billion spent on training and sustenance of the local forces. Additionally, despite billions of dollars spent by the US administration in the country, there seems no end to a spate of deadly attacks in Kabul, with the Taliban controlling significant percentage of the country’s territory.
